Haiti Marathon Story 2011

Friday, November 21, 2008

Good Morning! I write today entry from the National Youth Workers Convention here in Nashville, TN. I did not sleep well last night, of course dreaming of Haiti again. I am so thankful that I can spend the next 4 days in worship, prayer, and seeking understanding for where I am to go from here. I do have great news. As of today, we have only two more beds to be purchase! You have all been so faithful in coming forward in response to this need. I could not be more thankful. When I think o these beautiful children having a bed to sleep in, instead of a concrete floor, I am overwhelmed with joy. Our next step is to begin funding this school building process. I am waiting to hear back from some key people as to how this process will look. I know that we are a small group of people and the hope for restoring all of Haiti is difficult to process, however, we are making great strides in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. We are hopeful that the beds can be purchased as early as January on the next trip to Haiti. Please pray that God will continue to meet the needs of these Haitian children that we have adopted out of love. Also, pray for guidance and wisdom over the next several days. I am praying for all of you as well.
