A New Beginning

Dear Friends, Welcome to the beginning stages of an amazing journey of faith! I have just returned from Ouanaminthe, Haiti where I joined 11 faithful missionaries on a short term mission trip to visit a local orphanage. I truly had no idea the impact this trip would leave upon my heart as I begin to settle back into everyday life here in Chicago. Hopegivers International has made tremendous efforts in supporting this "Haiti Hope Home" which houses 31 beautiful children. Hopegivers International is a "Christian humanitarian organization which provides "Help for Today and Hope for Eternity" through initiatives by their Ministry Partners to rescue orphaned and abandoned children, assist the needy and oppressed, empower the work of the Gospel, and work toward fulfilling the Great Commission." I could not be more thrilled to partner with this organization in directly impacting Haiti. I am feeling overwhelmed with where to start, but I am looking forward to the task at hand. To help you understand the desires of my heart, I plan to tell you several personal stories about this short trip while displaying video footage and photos to help put things into a certain perspective for you. I hope to include stories from the other missionaries about how this trip has transformed their lives. You will be amazed at the faithfulness and trust these men and women have in the purpose they are called to as individuals. Please be patient with me as I balance time between my family and this very important cause. Be encouraged that if you have found this site, you too are called to help provide the "help for today and hope for eternity" that Hopegivers speaks of. There is so much to do, and for the first time in my life, I am completely at the mercy of the Lord for guidance, support, and direction. Want to join me????
