Heading Back

We have set dates and we are heading back to Haiti at the end of August. This trip will be fast and furious but not without helpful accomplishments in putting together a plan for these children. In addition to myself, our team consists Kim who I met previously on my first trip to Haiti. She is seen in this photo (on the left) holding our dear KiKi. Kim has a passion for Haiti and is praying earnestly for her place in all of this. I know we can count on her to be a wonderful addition to this group.
Next is Kristy. Kristy is seen on the right holding two beautiful girls from the school. Kristy and I actually met at Meredith's wedding. You can't meet Kristy without getting attached. Kristy hasn't slept well since going to Haiti with us back in November. She certainly feels led to return. Kristy is a nurse and we are hopeful she can use her gifts to bless the children abundantly.
Next is Char. Seen in the photo below getting a big smooch from me! Char has volunteered along side me on more Jr high mission trips than I can remember. In fact this Friday we leave for another awesome mission trip to Michigan with 14 Jr high students.
Char is a the most faithful and dedicated woman I have ever met. She is also a nurse. I can't wait to see how Haiti gets under her skin as she will be changed forever. We have a couple more people working on the possibility of joining us. The goal of this trip is to photograph and tell the stories of 21 teachers and 32 orphaned children who we hope to secure sponsorship for. We also want to put into place a monthly food delivery and work out something with the bank to assure teachers are being paid each month. We hope to implement some agricultural steps for the orphanage that will help with the food situation. We will also visit the site of the future school and of course love on the kids morning noon and night!
I want to send a great big thank you to my very good friend Tim Burns who is in the process of opening doors to the wonderful art community. He has already obtained domain hosting for us and is in the works of networking to bring more people on board with this school building process. Thank you so much Tim!
We are making progress everyone!
